This morning his family released a statement on social media confirming the icon’s death at the age of 88. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but he was accompanied by his wife, Jeannine, at all times.“We hope each of us can find a new way to act or speak up with Bill’s uncompromising, dignified and always constructive commitment to principle.
