The Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott their game vs. the Orlando Magic in the aftermath of the shooting of Jacob Blake. It didn’t take long before the rest of the teams in the bubble decided to take the same stand.

The NBA was forced to postpone all three games scheduled for yesterday (Bucks vs Magic, Thunder vs Rockets, and Blazers vs Lakers), claiming they respected the players’ decision and would reschedule the fixture.

However, there was a growing sentiment and concern around the league that the players may leave the bubble and skip the remainder of the season, considering they’re not making the impact they thought they’d have.

NBA Players Decided To Resume The Season

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the news that the second meeting ended with the players deciding to play out the rest of the season as soon as this Friday but the details are yet to be revealed.

“The NBA’s players have decided to resume the playoffs. The resumption of playoff games could come as soon as Friday, but there is expected to be a return to this season by the weekend, sources tell ESPN,” Wojnarowski reported.

NBA Players Want Owners To Get More Involved

According to multiple reports, most NBA players in the bubble were fed up and angry and team owners. The Governors committed $300 million over the next 10 years to empower African American communities but they felt as they’re not doing enough as the wealthiest and more politically-connected people in the nation.

LeBron James and players from the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers reportedly voted to cancel the season unless the commissioner and owners got more involved in social justice causes.

The Board of Governors scheduled an emergency meeting to address this situation so there’s a huge chance they’ve reached an agreement with the players. The details, however, are yet to be revealed.
