Trinidad and Tobago proved to be a force in the CONCACAF for a long time, reaching their highest point in 2006, when they went further and took part in aWorld Cup for the first time. The national team made the region proud and won worldwide recognition. Recently, the Caribbean side has joined forces with BOL to keep on strengthening its name in this sport, as the brand will give a boost to this team to jump to the next level.

The Soca Warriors were already known for featuring talented figures such as Dwight Yorke, who dazzled in the Premier League with Aston Villa and Manchester United, Russel Latapy, and Stern John, among others. However, before accomplishing such an important feat by appearing in the World Cup, they already were a strong side in the region.

Years after their historic participation in the sport’s greatest event, Trinidad and Tobago are facing a new qualifying for a Qatar 2022 berth, and they have already encouragingly started their campaign.

The Trinidadian soccer community has tasted what living a World Cup it’s like some years ago, in what has been an unforgettable experience for the Soca Warriors. Their appearance in Germany 2006 was the proof that dreams can be achieved and from then on they will always know that reaching such a high level is possible.

This year, they have begun a new journey aiming for a spot in the next great tournament in the right way. With the guidance of Terry Fenwick, who had a remarkable career playing for important English clubs, Trinidad and Tobago claimed four points from the first two games.

In their first match in the Concacaf World Cup Qualification for Qatar 2022, they put three past Guyana, earning a well-deserved victory. Two early goals led to a comfortable victory for Fenwick’s boys. Days later, they drew with Puerto Rico after being in advantage for a while in the second half. Right now, they stand second in Group F with four points. A good way to begin the race for a World Cup spot, and they’ll even face the leader Saint Cristopher and Nevis in June looking to surpass them. Their other game in that window will be against Bahamas. Moreover, the Soca Warriors will face Montserrat in July for a place in the Gold Cup.
