The 2021 CONMEBOL Copa America is set to kick off on Sunday June 13, from Brazil, it is the oldest national team competition in the world, dating back to 1916. The two matches that will kick-off the tournament is favorites Brazil against heavy underdog Venezuela and Colombia - Ecuador.

Brazil has been cruising in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying and are the clear favorites to win the whole thing in the Copa America. For Venezuela, just getting to the second round would be an achievement considering their position.

Colombia - Ecuador is a match of more traditional soccer nations, both have a history of games against each other, but the Ecuadorians are historically not great in the Copa America. Here are some interesting betting options for the start of the Copa America!

You really have to be crazy to not pick Brazil outright in this match, the Brazilians have been all over the competition in South America and there is almost no way Venezuela will shock anyone. A safe bet would be to pick an over 3.5 goals in the match as surely Brazil will try to come out the gate blazing. At +180 it could be a good payout.

A player that might score a goal in this game could be Neymar, at +230 he could be a safe option but Venezuela’s Josef Martínez who is a constant scoring threat could shock and score the first goal in the game and at +1700 has an interesting payout.

Ecuador’s poor history in the tournament has them paying out high at +360, to Colombia’s -113. Ecuador does have a talented squad and has been solid in World Cup Qualifying. Colombia has a new coach and is still trying to gel, betting on Ecuador could be an interesting option.

Games against Colombia and Ecuador are tight, mostly, so picking that the match will be under 2.5 goals could be a safe bet at -155. The match will most likely come down to who makes the least mistakes.
