Mexican fighters are a guarantee of true action in boxing. They usually have a brave style that sacrifices their wellness for the sake of the show. Jermall Charlo is aware of this and that is why he is claiming to have a voluntary defense of his WBC Middleweight title against a tough contender of that nationality.

At 31 years old, the Hit Man is looking to profit from his best years in boxing, nevertheless, he has already accomplished important things in boxing. His resume shows a 32-0-0 (22 KOs) as he is a two-division World Champion: in the 154 and 160 pounds.

His last clash was a thrilling one as he battled with the Mexican Juan Macias Montiel on June 2021, and he needed to go to the cards to get a Unanimous Decision win, although Montiel was not an easy rival at all.

The Mexican fighter Jermall Charlo could face next

He unsuccessfully searched Canelo Alvarez, as the current Pound for Pound King of boxing turned down the PBC offer that included him and Benavidez as rivals, but Jermall Charlo is still on his way to having his desired war against a Mexican tough contender, and this may be Jaime Munguia.

According to Boxing Scene, the Tijuana native is the man Al Haymon and PBC are searching for the next voluntary defense of Charlo's WBC World Middleweight title in June or July. This is a great match as the Mexican is one of the highest-ranked fighters of the WBO and even of the WBC and wishes to get a title shot in 2022.

Jaime Munguia has another option on his table: an elimination fight for the WBO World Middleweight Champion against Janibek Alimkhanuly. The Kazakh fighter is 11-0-0 and has defeated the former World titlist Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam on his last fight. The winner between Munguia and the 28-year-old Alimkhanuly could get a mandatory shot for the 160 pounds title of the above-mentioned organization currently on the waist of Demetrius Andrade.

After Jaime Munguia's last triumph, Alimkhanuly has stated on social media that a hypothetical fight against the Mexican contender could be easy work for him: "Guys, I don't like jokes. If I said easy work, it will be easy work inshallah. I beat two former world champions. Before I beat them I said that I will knock them out. And I did it. I know myself well. I am very confident in myself. I'll beat anyone."
