Marcell Ozuna signed a 1-year deal with the Atlanta Braves in 2020, and after a season which saw him hit 18 home runs, which lead the National League, 56 RBIs, and 145 total bases, reports are surfacing that eight teams are chasing him. The reports indicate that those teams are the Mets, Blue Jays, Yankees, Dodgers, Giants, Nationals, Red Sox, and the Braves. Ozuna ended the 2020 with a number of accolades including the Silver Slugger award, the first one since the universal DH rule was implemented league wide.

Blake Harris recently tweeted that the Dodgers are looking at Ozuna if the universal DH will continue to apply for the 2021 MLB season. While Ozuna is looking for a club that will commit to him for at least 4 seasons. In 2020 he played 39 of the shortened 60 game season as a DH.

The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly made calls already to his agent and if the details could be finalized, Ozuna may be heading to the Bronx or Los Angeles any time soon. Ozuna earned $18 million in salary for his lone season in Atlanta in 2020.
