It’s not a surprise to see that former Atlanta Braves star Marcell Ozuna is drawing a lot of interest in the offseason thus far, as he was one of the deadliest sluggers in Major League Baseball during the shortened season.

Ozuna led the National League in home runs (18) and runs batted in (56). Also, he had a batting average of .338 and an OPS of 1.067. Moreover, he slashed.362/.464/.691. in 179 at-bats as a designated hitter.

He’s coming off the best year of his career and even though he’s still expected to extend his stay with The Tribe, it’s only normal to see him exploring free agency and making the most of his opportunities.

Dominican Insider Claims 8 Teams Have Reached Out To Marcell Ozuna

And now, Dominican insider and MLB translator Mike Rodriguez recently reported that he’s already been contacted by 6 franchises, with the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers recently joining the race for his services:

ā€œI’ve been informed that there are six teams that have officially reached out to Marcell Ozuna: New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, and Washington Nationals. Also, last night, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers called him. He’s presumably looking for a 4-6 year deal #marcellozuna,ā€ Rodriguez reported.

Perhaps Yankees and Dodgers don’t exactly need Ozuna due to their crowded outfields. Then again, the Bronx Bombers could use him as a DH, especially if they end up moving Miguel AndĆŗjar as some think will happen.

There’s no doubt that Ozuna’s timely hitting and power could come handily for many contending teams ahead of next season, but it doesn’t seem like he’s going to make his decision any time soon with that many offers sitting at his table, so we’ll have to wait and see how this story unfolds.
