Boone also discussed Judge’s role amid the challenges ahead and shared his thoughts on his MVP candidacy. His comments highlighted Cody Bellinger, who has risen in Judge’s absence and is also eyeing the MVP award.

“We talk about Judgie being the MVP, and rightfully so, but by season’s end, Cody Bellinger is going to be in that conversation. I’m not sure where he’ll land, but he’s played exceptionally well,” Boone told the media.

Boone’s perspective on Volpe’s performance

Despite Anthony Volpe leading the league in errors, Boone’s positive remarks about him are resonating within the fanbase. Boone continues to support Volpe’s performance, notwithstanding the costly mistakes.

“I feel like he’s made some good adjustments, and it’s showing under the hood. In the last 10 days or so, he’s started to achieve some results,” Boone conveyed to the media.
