Being an NBA star like LeBron James or Kevin Durant– or a public figure of any nature – can always lead to polarizing opinions about you. Your life is exposed and everything you do or say may be taken wrongly by a lot of people. Even if you have millions of people rooting for you, you’ll also have millions bashing you night in,night out.

Durant and James have always been a subject of controversies among fans. Some hate on LeBron because they’re Jordan or Kobe fans who don’t believe he should be on the GOAT conversation. Others call Durant a snake for bailing on the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors.

That’s why Detroit Pistons’ star Blake Griffin called out the fans for the way they’re treating two of the greatest players to ever do it and asked them to just enjoy their game while they’re still capable of performing at a high level.

Blake Griffin Defends Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Says Fans Should Just Enjoy Them

“When LeBron left Cleveland and everybody just sh*t on him for years…when he came back to Cleveland and won, it was like we’re good now. KD left Oklahoma City and people still to this day don’t truly appreciate him,” Griffin told GQ.

“You’re watching one of the best players of all time and people are just trying to find ways to hate on him. Hopefully now, with KD in Brooklyn, people might relax a little bit. My advice to fans that talk sh*t about some of these guys is, ‘Just enjoy these guys. Enjoy their talent while you can. It doesn’t come around that often’,” Blake concluded.
