The Los Angeles Lakers entered the season as the best team in the Western Conference - and arguably the NBA - but they haven't been able to live up to that expectation over the past month or so.

Anthony Davis has been sidelined for most of the season with an Achilles injury and to make things worst, LeBron James suffered a high ankle sprain that would get him out of the court for a month and a half.

Moreover, now even Kyle Kuzma - their third scoring option - has also struggled with injuries, leaving the reigning champions quite shorthanded as their back-to-back trips to the ultimate stage - the NBA Finals.

LeBron James Hints At His Comeback On Instagram

The Lakers are sliding in the standings and struggling to keep up with their rivals without their two top guns, but it seems like it won't be too long before number 23 and number 3 are back on the court:

"The weatherman says the weather is changing soon and it predicts a thunderstorm is coming. Folks prepare and take the proper caution measures to stay safe," The King wrote in the caption.

You don't have to be a basketball savant to realize that the Los Angeles Lakers just don't stand a chance without Anthony Davis and LeBron James, thus the importance of getting them back right away so they can ramp up and be ready for the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, and Utah Jazz all look like serious threats to their crown in the Western Conference, while the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets are up-and-coming out of the East.

LeBron isn't getting any younger but he was a legit MVP candidate prior to his injury, and while Anthony Davis wasn't playing that well this season, he's still one of the best two-way players in the world. So yeah, as the weatherman said, caution is advised: The Lakers are coming.
