Brooklyn Nets open the new 2021-22 season against the Bucks, hoping this season will be as good as the last when they finished as the second-best team in the Eastern Conference with 48 wins and 24 losses. The Bucks finished one spot behind the Nets last season with a 46 wins and 26 losses but they end up winning the NBA Championship.

The last game of Opening Night is a new opportunity for Golden State Warriors since they did not fare in the 2020-21 season, the team finished in eighth position in the Western Conference with 39 wins and 33 losses. LeBron James and the Lakers also did not have good results last season with 42-30 and 7th spot in the Western Conference, it was a mediocre season for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Opening Night is just a small sample of what the new season will be, the fans want everything to return to normal and the league to be as or more competitive than before. There are no changes to the playoff format despite the fact that some arenas do not allow full capacity due to Covid-19 rules.
