I think I speak for all of us when I say that the Green Bay Packers were never truly worried about Aaron Rodgers' performance. Week 1 of the NFL season is full of overreactions and bold takes, but c'mon people, it's Aaron freaking Rodgers we're talking about.

The Packers were annihilated by the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, which obviously led to a lot of speculation regarding how much Rodgers cared and how his offseason drama affected the team entering the season.

But, now that he bounced back with a 4-touchdown performance vs. the Detroit Lions, no one seems to be talking about how it was just a bad game and how the reigning MVP is still one of the best players in the world.

Aaron Rodgers Fires Back At His Critics

That's why Rodgers made the most of his weekly appearance in the Pat McCafee show to let everybody know a piece of his mind. He called out those who criticized him and talked about his work ethic:

“It’s absolute horsesh-t to give a platform to people who have no idea what they’re talking about as far as my mental state and, you know, my focus, my work habits," Rodgers said. "People that have not been around me, that are not in my life, I don’t have communication with them, are not in the locker room. That’s just chickensh-t. It’s so ridiculous that people get a platform to do this, and it’s the same type of people."

"I'm always going to give a reminder, 'Listen to the source on some of these things.' It's often the same people, in the same tired rhetoric," Rodgers added. "I was just surprised after Week 1 there was such a story out there.

On top of that, Rodgers was livid at the fact that those who talked about him and his mental state don't even know him at all. They said he didn't care anymore and - clearly - that's what truly fired him up:

“What’s crazy to me is to let one storyline, by a person who has no contact with me, zero relationship, that becomes some sort of narrative that’s out there, that now I somehow don’t care about ball because of my Zen attitude during the offseason," the legendary quarterback concluded.

Aaron Rodgers will be just fine, people. He's one of the most -- if not the most talented pure quarterbacks to ever lace them up. Maybe, we should be talking more about football and less about offseason dramas.
