Brian Schottenheimer warns: ‘I won’t change’ as he takes charge of Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, and Cowboys

Brian Schottenheimer is stepping into a high-pressure role as the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, but he's making one thing clear. His leadership style will remain consistent, promising to bring the same demanding and disciplined approach to stars like Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons.

Brian Schottenheimer assured that he will not change anything in terms of the way he carries himself around players now that he is the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Despite now being in charge of stars like Dak Prescott or CeeDee Lamb, the former offensive coordinator of the team stated that he doesn’t need to modify his behavior.

“No. I think I’ve always been someone that believes in connection, getting to know these guys. I’ve always been someone that’s able to be demanding and I’m pretty good at disciplining guys. So, not really (change anything). I promised myself when I got this opportunity that I wouldn’t change. Because I think I’ve seen too many people change. The guys I’ve seen change, I’m not going to name them, they weren’t very successful. And I plan on being really successful. I’m going to be me. I’m not going to change that for anybody.”

When was the last Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl win?

The last Super Bowl win for the Dallas Cowboys was on January 28, 1996, against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Tempe, Arizona. In that game, America’s Team won 27-17, with cornerback Larry Brown being named MVP.

Super Bowl XXX was the last major triumph of a dynasty led by Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and Emmitt Smith, who at that time were already under the leadership of head coach Barry Switzer following the controversial departure of Jimmy Johnson.
