Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owen is starting a new career as a social media influencer as he announced that he will join the controversial website OnlyFans. Owen’s played for various NFL teams including the 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, among others. Owen’s was a six-time Pro Bowler and is a part of the San Francisco 49ers hall of fame.

Owen made the announcement in an interview with CNBC stating, ““I’m trying to be a businessman”, and when asked about what type of deal he had struck with the infamous site, “Those terms will be worked out with my legal and [OnlyFans’] legal.” Owens is not the only sports figure on OnlyFans as UFC fighter Sean O’Malley has an account, as well as music star Cardi B.

OnlyFans launched in 2016 and has made over $400 million in revenue in 2020, despite the fact that the platform is known more as an adult website where various users access explicit content for a fee. Here is what Terrell Owens plans to do on the OnlyFans platform.

“There will not be any sexual content that I’ll be providing. It’s not only just the risque and other things that are associated with OnlyFans,” Owens added. “But it’s another platform for engagement with my fans in addition to the other social media platforms.”
