The 2025 NFL offseason presents a challenge for the Kansas City Chiefs as they aim to compete once again for a Super Bowl appearance. With tight end Travis Kelce’s return secured, head coach Andy Reid’s team is expanding its roster and has confirmed a rookie who will join star Patrick Mahomes as a teammate.

Reid’s team continues to make roster adjustments following its Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Some young players may break into the rotation as the team anticipates a transition at certain positions, including tight end spot, where Kelce could begin sharing playing time with emerging talents like Jake Briningstool.

At the same time, Reid is already thinking of ways to better protect quarterback Mahomes. It seems the Chiefs will stick to the same formula for the upcoming season, which will kick off with an international game in Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers. However, some new additions could help elevate the team’s performance.
