The San Francisco 49ers have seen countless departures since the NFL legal tampering period started on Monday. But after losing multiple players for 2025, the team made a move to help Brock Purdy by landing a weapon who won a Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes before catching passes from Lamar Jackson and Matthew Stafford.

On Tuesday night, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Niners are signing wide receiver Demarcus Robinson to a two-year contract worth $9.5 million, with $6.5 million fully guaranteed.

Robinson, who turns 31 in September, arrives in the Bay area with plenty of experience playing alongside star quarterbacks. After teaming up with Mahomes and Jackson, he spent the last two seasons with Stafford on the Los Angeles Rams.

Robinson’s time with Lamar Jackson

He landed in Baltimore just in time for the 2022 NFL regular season after a short stint with the Las Vegas Raiders in the offseason, and went on to make five starts in 17 games played. Though Jackson had other weapons, Robinson still caught 48 passes on 75 targets for 458 yards and two touchdowns.
