The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/los-angeles-rams" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Los Angeles Rams</a> are one of the best teams in the NFL. That’s why everyone got shocked when the Carolina Panthers surprisingly beat them. After the game, a Matthew Stafford teammate opened up about the loss.



Linebacker Byron Young said, “I&nbsp;just feel like this&nbsp;a wake-up call. You know, something that you just got to learn from. I definitely think it’s something that we needed. I don’t look at as a bad thing. I just look at it that it is motivation. It is something I’m glad that it happened. We need this.”

While Stafford still threw for two touchdowns (both to Davante Adams), the Rams fell just short of winning the game. While the Rams still lead in the NFC West, their margin of error has disappeared.

Back in March, the Rams signed linebacker Nate Landman to a veteran minimum salary of $1.1 million. Not only did Landman earned a starting job, but he is playing at a Pro Bowl level. According to Ian Rapoport of <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a> Network, the Rams gave Landman a three-year, $22.5 million contract with $15 million guaranteed.



Landman was an undrafted rookie out of Colorado that played under the minimum salary in Atlanta until last year. Curiously the only player in the NFL to be born in Zimbabwe, Landman will do in this contract alone, more than he has done in the entirety of his career.



<h2>Landman has become a staple on the Rams defense</h2>



At 27 years old, Landman is entering his prime. He has started all 10 games for the Rams this year, has four passes defended, 1.5 sacks, leads the NFL in forced fumbles (4) and leads the team with 91 tackles.

Landman is another key part of this defense that also has Byron Young and Jared Verse as an elite pass rushing duo. In the secondary, they have four players with two interceptions and two with at least one. The Rams have the second-best scoring defense in the NFL.

Adams is on pace to reach 1,000 yards as he has 568 already. He leads the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a> in receiving touchdowns, something that he has done twice in his career. in 2020, he had 18, and in 2022, he had 14. The three-time All Pro is still delivering.

Unfortunately for <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/sean-mcvay">Sean McVay</a>, and according to a report from Adam Schefter on his official X account, Puka Nacua has been officially ruled out for the matchup against the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium — a significant blow to the Rams’ offense and quarterback <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/matthew-stafford">Matthew Stafford</a>.



“Rams ruled out WR Puka Nacua, who has an ankle injury, for Sunday’s game in London versus the Jaguars,” the insider reported via @AdamSchefter. It’s undoubtedly a tough blow for a team that simply can’t afford to miss the opportunity to climb to the top of their division this weekend.

<h2>McVay’s optimism</h2>



There’s no question that Nacua’s absence is a major setback for a Rams offense with, at the very least, serious playoff aspirations. Yet, rather than express concern, head coach Sean McVay shared a sense of optimism regarding the possibility of having his top wide receiver back in the near future.
