The Seattle Seahawks are looking to provide Sam Darnold with all possible advantages on offense heading into the 2025 season, where he will now have a Super Bowl champion as a teammate who was recently a free agent.
According to reports from Ian Rapoport and The Insiders, Darnoldās new teammate for the 2025 season will be Cooper Kupp. He is an experienced wide receiver who will join the weapons that the Seahawks will have for the upcoming season, along with Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
It is evident that the Seahawksā front officeās goal is to provide Darnold with similar tools to what he had in his lone season with the Vikings, where it was thanks to the talented receivers on that team that they were able to make a deep NFL playoff run.
What a receiver like Kupp brings to Seattle is undoubtedly experience, not only as a Super Bowl champion but also as a player who knows how to adapt to a teamās circumstances. This was evident with the Rams, where despite his team being plagued by injuries in the last three seasons, he persevered, averaging 11.2 yards per game.

Cooper Kupp #10 of the Los Angeles Rams warms up before the game against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Wild Card Playoff game at SoFi Stadium on January 17, 2022 in Inglewood, California.
The Seahawksā offense looks strong
Not only will Darnold and the Seahawks have a veteran like Kupp, but other players like Marquez Valdes-Scantling bring enough experience to create a dangerous offense that could help the Seahawks return to the playoffs, a goal they have set for some time.
- RB: Kenneth Walker
- RB: Zach Charbonnet
- WR: Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- WR: Cooper Kupp
- WR: Marquez Valdes-Scantling
- WR: Jake Bobo
- TE: Noah Fant
It is worth noting that last season, the Seahawksā offense ranked 18th out of 32 teams, averaging 22.1 points per game. They had issues with touchdown production, but ultimately finished with a decent record of 10-7-0 overall, falling just short of making the playoffs.
