Tua Tagovailoa is ready to make headlines in the 2025 NFL season. He knows it will take more than just his own talent — everyone around him will need to step up. One of the Miami Dolphins QB key weapons made it clear: this team won’t just be another name on the schedule this year.
De’Von Achane was one of the main targets reached by the former Alabama player last season. The running back collected 281 combined carries and catches in his second year in the league, but his performance doesn’t intend to stop there.
In a recent talk with the press, the talented RB warned his rivals in the league that he intends to improve his stats, which will inevitably lead to better results for Mike McDaniel’s team.
“This year probably — every year I want to get better — so as far as my numbers-wise, as far as in the rush game, I always want to try to hit 1,000 yards and then 500 yards (receiving),” Achane stated. via team transcript.

Tua Tagovailoa #1 of the Miami Dolphins pitches the ball to De’Von Achane #28 in the third quarter of a game against the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium on December 08, 2024 in Miami Gardens, Florida.
“I feel like I can do that as far as how much I’m being used and like the pass game that I was last year because I had a lot of receptions, and me watching film I felt like I left a lot of plays or I felt like I could have did more. Going back and watching the year and the cut ups, I feel like I left a lot of yards on the table,” he concluded.

What can we expect from the Dolphins next season?
Tua Tagovailoa is hoping to make a major impact in the 2025 season and solidify himself as the undisputed leader of the Miami Dolphins. With a coaching staff that believes in his growth, the quarterback aims to take the team further than in previous years.
Tyreek Hill is likely to remain the team’s top offensive weapon, while Jalen Ramsey’s situation seems to distance him from the roster. In the latest draft, the Dolphins bolstered their defense with the selection of defensive tackle Kenneth Grant at No. 13 overall.
The goal is clear: surpass the Bills, Jets, and Patriots in an increasingly competitive AFC East. With a strong core and developing young talent, Miami is ready to move from promise to a legitimate contender.
