Tua Tagovailoa could lose a star teammate before the start of the upcoming season. According to a report by Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins could soon confirm a trade to send Jalen Ramsey away and many Super Bowl contenders might be in the mix to get him.
Even though the topic had cooled down in recent weeks, Schefter warned that “there’s more interest in Ramsey than people realize.” Because of that, a likely date for the shocking move could be the first days of June.
Although Ramsey’s departure might seem hard to understand for a team looking to compete with the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, several rumors suggest that the cornerback’s relationship with head coach Mike McDaniel isn’t the best, in addition to the financial implications.
Will the Dolphins trade Jalen Ramsey?
The Miami Dolphins announced several weeks ago that they had reached an agreement with Jalen Ramsey to trade him. That was confirmed by the team’s general manager, Chris Grier. “We decided it was probably in the best interest for all parties to move forward.”
The interesting part of the situation is that the Dolphins were unable to move Ramsey before or during the 2025 Draft. That could lead to them not being able to ask for a high price in a potential trade, considering it’s already public that both sides want to go their separate ways.

Schefter says that several teams have inquired about Ramsey, and based on what has been reported in recent weeks, that list might include contenders like the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Los Angeles Rams, and the Washington Commanders.
