Matchday 10 of the 2021 Apertura will bring us the most exciting derby in Mexican soccer. Club America and Chivas will face each other on Saturday, September 25, aiming to claim the victory in the Clasico Nacional.

These two, however, find themselves in completely different spots in the Liga MX. The Aguilas are leaders of the tournament and have been flying until last weekend, while Guadalajara have struggled to get results.

In fact, while Santiago Solari remains firm in his job, Chivas have just sacked Victor Vucetich after a poor start to the campaign. Nonetheless, each side's record doesn't really matter in these kinds of games, where anything can happen.

Club America possible starting XI

Club America's fantastic run was stopped last weekend when Toluca put three past them at Estadio Nemesio Diez. The Aguilas' first defeat in the tournament didn't come in great timing considering they have the big derby upfront.

Another setback from that loss was that Sebastian Caceres saw the red card and will be unable for this clash. Therefore, this is how Club America would line up to face Chivas: Guillermo Ochoa; Jorge Sanchez, Bruno Valdez, Jordan Silva/Emanuel Aguilera, Luis Fuentes; Pedro Aquino, Richard Sanchez; Miguel Layun, Henry Martin, Salvador Reyes; Federico Viñas.

Chivas possible lineup

It's the dawn of a new era for Chivas as Victor Vucetich was fired. The Clasico de Clasicos obviously doesn't come in the best time for interim coach Michel Leaño but it's a great opportunity for the team to bounce back.

Following their 1-0 victory over Pachucalast weekend, Guadalajara aim to build from their momentum and win the derby to go five games without defeat. This is how Chivas would lineup against Club America: Raul Gudiño; Jesus Sanchez, Hiram Mier, Luis Olivas, Miguel Ponce; Jesus Molina, Sergio Flores; Jesus Angulo, Uriel Antuna, Cristian Calderon; Oribe Peralta.
