<p><strong>Michael Jordan</strong> is the greatest player in <strong>Chicago Bulls</strong> history after leading the franchise to six titles in the <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/nba">NBA</a></strong>. It was an amazing run alongside players such as <strong>Scottie Pippen</strong>, Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant, Toni Kukoc and <strong>Steve Kerr</strong>.</p>

<p>Wiggins is far from done, and while his contract makes it tough to trade him, he should still have a future in this league. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the three most likely destinations <strong>for the former first-overall pick</strong>.</p>

<p>He could <strong>showcase his skills in the Windy City </strong>and get over this slump without any sort of pressure to have to win. The Bulls could later try to flip him for draft capital or expiring contracts to finally kickstart their long overdue rebuilding process.</p>



<h2>2. Toronto Raptors</h2>



<p>For years, people have speculated with a bit of a homecoming. While he was born in Ontario, Andrew Wiggins has always been tied to the<strong> Toronto Raptors</strong> for obvious reasons. Now could be the time to get it done and join forces with <strong>RJ Barrett.</strong></p>

<p>That’s why several of their players have been linked with trades for months now. <strong>DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, and even Coby White and Nikola Vucevic</strong> have emerged as potential trade suitors for contending and rebuilding teams alike.</p>



<p>Needless to say, that makes<strong> <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/zach-lavine" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zach LaVine</a> the most likely and most valuable trade asset </strong>they have right now, even though he hasn’t played for the past month or so while nursing an injury.</p>

<p><strong>Los Angeles Lakers receive: </strong>Zach LaVine</p>



<p><strong>Chicago Bulls receive:</strong> D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Maxwell Lewis and a 2029 first-round pick</p>



<p>This trade isn’t that appealing for the Bulls at first sight, but the reality is that LaVine’s trade value isn’t as high as it used to be after<strong> so many injuries and his stand-off with Billy Donovan.</strong></p>



<h2>Lakers Get Another Shot-Creator</h2>



<p><em><strong>“L.A.’s 17th-ranked offense is light on shot creation and essentially nonfunctional when James, who turns 39 in December, needs a breather.</strong> Just that one subtraction torpedoes its output by 13 points per 100 possessions,”</em> wrote Buckley.</p>



<p>LaVine might not be a good defender, but he can at least take plenty of pressure from<strong> LeBron James and Anthony Davis</strong> on the offensive end of the floor, both with his scoring and his passing:</p>

<p><strong>“<em>LaVine, one of five players to average at least 24 points, four assists and 2.5</em> <em>three-pointers each of the past four seasons, could help prevent those drop-offs while also enhancing the effectiveness with James on the floo</em></strong><em>r. Each could create for the other, and both are dynamic finishers. If they hit the ground running, they could steer this offense into the top 10 or higher,”</em> added Buckley.</p>



<h2>The Bulls Get More Assets</h2>



<p>The Bulls, on the other hand, wouldn’t benefit from the players they get in return from this trade per sé, but they <strong>could flip them into more draft capital</strong> to actually kickstart their rebuild: </p>



<p><em>“The rebuilding Bulls wouldn’t have a ton of use for Russell, but they could give him temporary control of the offense in hopes he’d drive up his trade value and help bring back additional assets. <strong>Hachimura might see similar treatment, though he’s just young enough (25) to potentially keep if Chicago sought a rapid rebuild,”</strong></em> Buckley concluded.</p>

<p>At the end of the day, LaVine’s trade value gets lower by the day, so it only makes sense that <strong>Arturas Karnisovas</strong> and company make the most of him while they still can. <p>The reality is that they’re not good enough to compete and keep up with the rest of the Eastern Conference. Ironically, they do have great players that could be of significant value somewhere else, which is why<strong> all eyes are set on the Windy City right now.</strong></p>



<p>Most fans and analysts believe it’s just a matter of time before the Bulls go through a bit of a panic sale. That means they should have plenty of bidders lining up to <strong>make an offer for their All-Stars.</strong></p>

<p>The <strong>Miami Heat</strong> have been after so many stars over the past three years or so, and they’ve gone empty-handed. Landing <strong>Jimmy Butler</strong> was a huge first step, and he’s led them to the <strong>NBA Finals</strong> twice in four years, but he needs someone who could help him carry the load as well.</p>



<p>DeRozan isn’t a good fit from an offensive standpoint because he’s another non-shooter. Then again, he could be their starting point guard, as he boasts over-average playmaking skills, and we already know what he’s capable of as a scorer. He’d be a nice<strong> low-risk/high-reward pickup.</strong></p>



<p>The Heat shouldn’t have to give up a lot to get DeRozan on the final year of his deal, but the Bulls would be wise to target at least one of <strong>Nikola Jovic or Jaime Jaquez Jr.</strong></p>



<h2>2. Los Angeles Lakers</h2>



<p>The <strong>Los Angeles Lakers</strong> were interested in signing him before he joined the Chicago Bulls. Even he admitted that he thought he was heading back home to play in California, but the<strong> Russell Westbrook</strong> deal pretty much killed all chances of that happening.</p>

<p>A couple of years have gone by, and the desire to come back home hasn’t faded. If anything, the Lakers could use another consistent scorer next to <strong>LeBron James </strong>and<strong> Anthony Davis.</strong> However, once again, spacing could be an issue with him on the floor.</p>



<p>Getting him shouldn’t be much of an issue for the Lakers from a salary-matching standpoint. The only issue would be whether the Bulls are interested in what they could have to give,<strong> and that’s not very likely.</strong></p>



<h2>1. New York Knicks</h2>



<p>Like the Miami Heat, the <strong>New York Knicks </strong>have also been in the market for a big star for quite a while, but to no avail. That’s despite playing in the basketball mecca and one of the biggest sports markets on Earth. They just can’t catch a break in free agency.</p>



<p><strong>Tom Thibodeau’s</strong> team has flirted with deep postseason contention for years, and it seems like they’re always on the verge or just one piece away from being a legitimate championship contender. Perhaps DeRozan is that piece they’ve been craving.</p>



<p>The Knicks have<strong> plenty of draft picks</strong> to do business with, so they should have the upper hand over every single team interested in trading for DeRozan, as the Bulls will look to replenish their draft capital.</p>

The Lakers have a solid core, so they shouldn’t make any big move, but they could add Caruso for a big defensive boost.</p>



<h2>DeMar DeRozan – Miami Heat</h2>



<p><strong>DeMar DeRozan </strong>might be the last player the<strong> Miami Heat </strong>should pursue right now. However, they’ve been tangled up with a trade for him multiple times in the past, and he’s reportedly made them one of his preferred destinations. He’d be a cheap rental, but not a good fit.</p>



<p>DeRozan is just like<strong> Jimmy Butler</strong> in the sense that they can both put the ball on the floor, create for others, and score from mid and close range. But he’s not a shooter, and the Heat’s spacing is pretty bad as it is. Nonetheless, with the Heat failing to acquire a star multiple times in the past, they could feel desperate to make a move.</p>

<p>According to<strong> Sam Amick of The Athletic,</strong> DeRozan will be highly coveted. Nonetheless, he would have the<strong> Knicks and Miami Heat </strong>as preferred destinations if he were to be moved:</p>

<h2>This could make more sense for the Lakers</h2>



<p>DeRozan could bring not only an upgrade in terms of talent but also more veteran presence in the locker room. The team has <strong>good memories from Caruso’s time in LA</strong>, where he contributed to the franchise’s 17th NBA championship in 2020.</p>

<p>In Darvin Ham’s first year as head coach, the Lakers built on an unexpected resurgence after the February deadline to make the 2023 Conference Finals. On top of that, both <strong>DeMar DeRozan and <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/zach-lavine" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zach LaVine</a></strong> left with injuries, which headlines a bigger concern.</p>



<p>Even though it’s still early in the season, the Bulls are less than likely to turn things around unless they either make some radical lineup changes or change their roster. The front office<strong> has Billy Donovan’s back,</strong> so a coaching change could be out of the question.</p>



<p>That means the team needs to come to terms with the fact that they <strong>just have to trade Zach LaVine</strong>, and they cannot have him miss any more games with injuries, as they just drive his trade value down. LaVine has a long history of injuries, and he’s already missed games with knee and foot ailments this season.</p>

<p>With that in mind, <strong>Shams Charania of The Athletic </strong>reports that they’re going to be quite patient and do their due diligence on any player they potentially trade for this season:</p>

There was call for changes, Rob Pelinka and that front office they took a more diligent approach,” </strong></em>said Charania. <em>“They pursued Kyrie Irving at the trade deadline, but then they went the other route, got a bunch of good role players, assembled a team that was kinda similar to that 2020 championship team, with high level rotation players and they go to the Western Conference Finals.”</em></p>



<h2>Bulls Want Austin Reaves</h2>



<p>The Bulls are no stranger to the Lakers’ <strong>potential interest in LaVine</strong>, obviously. According to Charania, they would ask for <strong>Austin Reaves</strong> in any trade package for their coveted star, assuming the Lakers are willing to pay LaVine’s steep salary.</p>



<p><em>“<strong>I expect them to express interest in Zach LaVine, but he’s making almost $40 million. So to total the salaries to reach that amount in a trade, guys like D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, they are not both trade eligible until mid-January,”</strong> </em>added Charania. <em>“The Bulls, I’m sure, would covet Austin Reaves in any potential Zach LaVine trade, as any team would. If you’re the Lakers and you’re out there trying to pursue a third star, whether that’s Zach LaVine, anyone else that becomes available, the player that teams will ask about is Austin Reaves 100%. <strong>To this point the Lakers have not been inclined to move Austin Reaves, they didn’t put him in a deal for Kyrie Irving.”</strong></em></p>



<p>Reaves is a valuable part of the Lakers’ rotation, but he hasn’t played well this season, and he might never turn out to become a star, so the Lakers could actually cave in to these demands <strong>if they’re desperate to land LaVine.</strong></p>

<p>Though LaVine has failed to prove he can be the leading star of a team with serious aspirations – he made just one playoff appeareance in Chicago (a first-round exit in 2022), he’s still <strong>a player that draws interest in the market.</strong></p>

<p>This season, he’s averaging 21.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, shooting 43.1 from the field and 33.9 percent on threes. <strong>But his contract could be a stumbling block</strong>, especially for the Heat, since Herro is much cheaper.</p>



<p>LaVine is making just over $40m this season, but he’s <strong>due $43m and $45.9m in the next two years</strong>. Besides, he holds a player option for the 2026-27 season of nearly <strong>$49 million</strong>. Herro, on the other hand, is making $27m this season and <strong>won’t exceed $33m</strong> in any of the remaining seasons on his current four-year contract.</p>



<h2>The Heat reportedly are one of LaVine’s preferred destinations</h2>



<p>This may be painful for LaVine, who reportedly sees Miami as one of his favorite landing spots in the event of a trade. According to Jake Fischer of <em>Yahoo Sports</em>, the Heat are one of teams preferred by LaVine and his camp <strong>along with the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.</strong></p>

<p>There’s another determining factor, which is that the Lakers cannot trade most of their potential trade chips until later in the season, <strong>and the Bulls might not want to wait for that long:</strong></p>

<h2>Lakers Want To Get Better From Within</h2>



<p>The Los Angeles Lakers could use <strong>another floor-spacer next to LeBron and Anthony Davis. </strong>Then again, LaVine is entering the second year of a five-year pact, and the new CBA makes it tough to put together three players making big money.</p>

And just like it happens with<strong> every <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/lebron-james" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LeBron James</a>-led team</strong>, that means at least half of the roster will be subject to trade rumors for the next couple of months.</p>



<p>Whether<strong> Rob Pelinka </strong>goes through another roster overhaul or not remains to be seen, and it’s still way too early in the season. However, we’ve heard and seen this story way too many times in the past not to at least <strong>keep an eye on what’s going on in Southern California.</strong></p>



<p>Conversely, the<strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/chicago-bulls" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Chicago Bulls</a></strong> have some major struggles of their own, and with <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/zach-lavine" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zach LaVine’s</a> </strong>latest incident with a Bulls’ PR representative and all the trade rumors around him, a move somewhere else seems imminent.</p>



<p>LaVine took just nine shots in the Bulls’ latest loss and looked like someone who had given up on his team, and it’s not the first time he’s had <strong>some issues with Billy Donovan’s coaching. </strong>With that in mind, the Lakers represent a logical potential destination.</p>

<h2>Lakers Are Keeping An Eye On Chicago</h2>



<p>According to <strong>Jovan Buha of The Athletic,</strong> the Lakers do have a real interest in trading for LaVine, who’s a UCLA product and also <strong>represented by</strong> <strong>Rich Paul and Klutch Sports, just like LeBron and Anthony Davis:</strong></p>



<p><strong><em>“The Lakers’ interest in LaVine is real — at the right price,”</em></strong> wrote Buha. <em>“However, LaVine’s potential availability also hints at the possibility of a fire sale in Chicago, with the organization seemingly looking to finally pivot away from its longstanding mediocrity.<strong> If additional Bulls players become available, the Lakers would also have interest in DeMar DeRozan and/or former Laker Alex Caruso, according to multiple team sources.”</strong></em></p>



<p>Of course, they would have to wait until the Bulls bottom out and make their players available first, which could happen a<strong>t any point between now and the trade deadline.</strong></p>



<h2>It Won’t Be Easy</h2>



<p>The Lakers need to make sure to <strong>accommodate LaVine’s contract on their books. </strong>He’s slightly overpaid, and the new CBA makes it difficult to have three players making big bucks at the same time:</p>

<p><strong><em>“The Lakers’ biggest concern in a potential LaVine trade is his gigantic contract: In addition to his $40.1 million salary for 2023-24</em></strong><em>, he’s owed $138 million over the next three years (which includes a $49 million player option in 2026-27 he seems likely to exercise),”</em> Buha reported.<em><strong> “Moreover, LaVine has a 15 percent trade kicker that he’d almost certainly have to waive to make a trade to the Lakers feasible financially.”</strong></em></p>



<p>On top of that, most of the Lakers’ potential trade chips won’t be eligible for a trade until Dec. 15, and it’s not like they could make up f<strong>or an appealing trade package anyway:</strong></p>



<p><strong><em>“The Lakers would realistically have to wait until at least until Dec. 15, when most of their roster becomes trade-eligible (Russell, Gabe Vincent, Taurean Prince, Reddish, Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes),” </em></strong>Buha continued.<em> “Beyond that, Reaves and Rui Hachimura become trade eligible on Jan. 15. (Davis becomes trade eligible on Feb. 6, but don’t expect them to move him or James. Jarred Vanderbilt cannot be traded due to his multi-year contract extension.) The Lakers aren’t interested in including Reaves in a potential LaVine deal despite his recent move to the bench, according to multiple team sources.”</em></p>

<p>Fast forward to today, and it seems like the only thing they got right on that prediction was the team’s losing record, as<strong> Poole has struggled mightily, </strong>and he’s not even the team’s primary ball-handler, shot-creator, or scorer.</p>



<p>Poole is actually averaging one fewer shot per game from his <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/golden-state-warriors" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Golden State Warriors </a></strong>days despite being a starter now. Averaging<strong> 15.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers on 39/27/81 from the floor i</strong>s not what one would expect from a so-called franchise player.</p>



<p>Also, Poole pretty much admitted that he can now play his own style of basketball, stating that<strong> he already won a championship and got paid</strong>, which is not the mindset one would want from his stars, either.</p>

<h2>Poole Could Be Traded Soon</h2>



<p>With that in mind<strong>, NBA insider Marc Stein</strong> shared some unsurprising news. Apparently, the Wizards are having second thoughts about Poole being a potential franchise cornerstone. And with him being in the first year of <strong>a four-year, $128 million contract,</strong> they could look to send him somewhere else. But where? Let’s break it down.</p>



<h2>3. Miami Heat</h2>



<p>The <strong>Miami Heat </strong>have been actively pursuing an upgrade at the point guard position for quite a while. <strong>Kyle Lowry </strong>is no longer a starting-caliber player, and while Poole isn’t a primary playmaker, he could take some pressure off Jimmy Butler in that regard.</p>



<p>The Heat have failed to acquire every single trade or free-agency target they’ve had for years. Poole isn’t the best player on that list by any means, but <strong>they could be desperate enough to pull it off.</strong></p>



<p>That would pretty much mean they’ve given up on <strong>Tyler Herro </strong>and sent him to the nation’s capital, as it’s hard to envision him coexisting in the backcourt with Poole, especially for defensive purposes.</p>

<h2>2. New Orleans Pelicans</h2>



<p>The <strong>New Orleans Pelica</strong>ns could find it challenging to accommodate Poole’s salary on their books, but they do have more than enough young players and assets to make an interesting offer.</p>



<p><strong>C.J. McCollum</strong> will be out for the foreseeable future, and they could use another offensive initiator on the court. Also, with<strong> Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson</strong> both prone to injury, he’d give them another insurance policy.</p>



<p>Poole isn’t a good defender, and the Pelicans could struggle to hide him on that end of the court. Then again, he and Zion could potentially d<strong>o a lot of damage in the pick-and-roll.</strong></p>



<h2>1. Chicago Bulls</h2>



<p>We’ve already talked about desperate teams, and the<strong> Chicago Bulls</strong> definitely fit that criteria. They’re close to bottoming out and blowing up their roster, but that has never been the way they do business.</p>



<p>The Bulls have always chosen to be somewhat competitive as opposed to starting from scratch. That means they could look to trade for a young and still promising player like <strong>Poole and some spare parts and picks instead of just giving up on the season.</strong></p>

<p>The <strong>Philadelphia 76ers </strong>are a seamless fit. He fits their timeline and would obviously be a major offensive upgrade over <strong>Tobias Harris, </strong>even if he gives up some size. <p>In the meantime, Erik Spoelstra <strong>lost key contributors to the team’s run to the 2023 NBA Finals</strong>. Gabe Vincent and Max Strus walked away in free agency, while Victor Oladipo was traded to Oklahoma.</p>



<p>With the season already underway, Miami may not pursue another big-name player and focus on improving its depth instead. And while Caruso hasn’t been placed on the market yet, the Bulls’ struggles could make them enter <strong>rebuild mode.</strong></p>



<h2>Bulls may need to rebuild</h2>



<p>With a 4-6 start to the season that sees them 12th in the East, the Bulls are far from that promising team when Lonzo Ball was healthy. Even with the likes of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic still on the roster, they <strong>cannot seem to get things going</strong>. If the results don’t change, Chicago could end up trading before the deadline.</p>

<p><em>“<strong>Coveted is a good word for him</strong>. If you want to make a trade tomorrow they could trade Alex Caruso,” the executive told Heavy Sports. “<strong>Half the teams in the league would be there with an offer</strong>. There’s a lot of teams monitoring that situation and they’re looking at Caruso more than anyone on that roster.<strong> Just a matter of when the Bulls are ready to make changes and ready to let him go.”</strong></em></p>



<p>Caruso has definitely made a name for himself in the league, despite being initially overlooked in the 2016 NBA Draft. That’s why, if the Bulls consider the idea of trading him, a number of teams may pick up the phone.</p>

<p>With that in mind, some believe the Bulls are likely to be sellers at some point before the <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/nba" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NBA</a> trade deadline.</strong> Should that be the case, then<strong> the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/los-angeles-lakers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Los Angeles Lakers</a> would love to bring Alex Caruso back</strong>, according to an unnamed Eastern Conference executive:</p>



<p><strong><em>“The rumor around the Lakers was they regretted letting him go almost immediately after it happened,” </em></strong><em>one Eastern Conference exec told Heavy Sports. </em><strong><em>“They knew that was a mistake. He’s not the same player now, but the Lakers are </em></strong><em><strong>worried they don’t have enough of an edge. He could be someone who helps fix that.”</strong></em></p>

<h2>Bulls Want A Lot For Him</h2>



<p>Despite not being a big-name player, Caruso has made countless big-time plays. He’s the heart and soul of the second unit and <strong>one of the best defenders in the game, even clamping up Kevin Durant in the post </strong>despite giving up like five inches.</p>



<p>He’s <strong>a fan favorite and an instant-energy guy.</strong> He’s the kind of championship-caliber role-player teams would be tempted to overpay for. That’s why, according to <strong>Sean Deveney,</strong> the Bulls were looking to get a big haul for him last season:</p>



<p><em>“<strong>Last year, the Bulls were rumored to be seeking two first-round picks for Caruso, </strong>which was taken by some to mean they were not all that interested in trading him at all—<strong>no one was going to give up that much for a role player like Caruso,”</strong> </em>reported Deveney.</p>



<p>Per the executive, the Lakers<strong> wouldn’t even be close to meeting that steep price,</strong> but they do have some young assets that could interest the Bulls if they enter rebuild mode:</p>

<p><strong><em>“They wouldn’t give up a (first-round) pick, but they could give up (Jalen) Hood-Schifino and another contract if they wait until December 15. Or Max Christie, he has some value,”</em> </strong>the executive said. <em>“They’re not giving up a pick, but they have young guys they can put up there.”</em></p>



<h2>Lakers Could Face Competition</h2>



<p>The Lakers are in desperate need of someone who could provide some spark off the bench and another defender, but they’re not the only ones looking for that kind of skill set. According to the report<strong>, multiple teams could also pursue the Texas A&amp;M product:</strong></p>



<p><strong><em>“Coveted is a good word for him. If you want to make a trade tomorrow, they could trade Alex Caruso,” </em></strong>the executive told Heavy Sports.<em> “Half the teams in the league would be there with an offer. <strong>There’s a lot of teams monitoring that situation, and they’re looking at Caruso more than anyone on that roster</strong>. Just a matter of when the Bulls are ready to make changes and ready to let him go.”</em></p>
