Nearly a month after a heartbreaking end to the season and leaving the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Kylee Watson shared an emotional Instagram post to say goodbye to her old team.
Watson included several photos from her graduation and a video edit that featured Hannah Hidalgo, Sonia Citron (No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft), Olivia Miles and other Notre Dame players. She added a message to thank all the people who accompanied her and helped her grow during her tenure with the Fighting Irish.
“The people make the place,” Watson wrote. “& how lucky am I that I have the best people. Grateful for all the mafia nights, all the rolf’s memories, and all the teams that turned into my family. Thank you Notre Dame, gonna miss you lots.”

Following a three-year stint at Purcell Pavilion, Kylee Watson is taking her talents to the Villanova Wildcats. She entered the transfer portal last month following a serious knee injury that she suffered alate in the 2023-24 NCAA season.
She played two seasons with the Fighting Irish after two prior seasons with the Oregon Ducks, where she averaged 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per outing during her freshman year during the 2020-21 season. She joined the Fighting Irish ahead of the 2022-23 season when she posted career-best numbers in scoring, rebounding, assists and blocked shots.
In her final campaign with Notre Dame, she played 31 games, averaged 25.9 minutes, 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game, shooting 52.4% from the field and 56.3% from the free-throw line.
