Jazz Chisholm Jr. seems to enjoy speaking clearly about what he and the New York Yankees want for the 2024 World Series. He recently stated that despite the loss in Game 1, his teammates remain focused to get the big title.

According to Chisholm Jr.’s recent comments before Game 2, as the Yankees head into Dodger Stadium with a loss under their belt, the third baseman asserted that he and the team feel they already have the World Series title in the bag.

“I think we’ve been doing it all year. I feel like nothing has changed in our clubhouse. We still feel like we’ve got this in the bag,” Chisholm Jr. said, once again voicing his pride in his team.

After two World Series games against Dodgers, Chisholm Jr. has managed three hits and one run in three at-bats—a relatively low production, though it’s consistent with his postseason average with the Yankees.

Chisholm Jr. After Game 2 Loss to the Dodgers

The Game 2 loss hit most Yankees players hard, but for Chisholm Jr., it seems to have only fueled his drive and confidence in his team. He noted that any struggles leading to the Yankees’ 0-2 deficit against the Dodgers have simply been due to some anxious energy.

“I feel like we’ve been playing really good baseball. The guys still feel very confident at the plate, on the field. We still feel really confident in our pitching. I feel like we’re just going to go home and feed off the crowd’s energy.”
