The Nets were absorbed into the NBA in 1976 and played as the New Jersey Nets from 1977 to 2012. In 2006, the team won its first NBA Championship with Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal, with Riley as head coach. Four years later, Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh formed the “Big Three” and led the Heat to four straight NBA Finals, winning the 2012 and 2013 editions. The team also enjoys worldwide popularity for its privileged location, but the Heat made most of their fans because of their work on the court.
