Barack Obama hasbeen very famous around the NBA during this past year. The former president has always been an avid fan of the game and he’s not changing a bit after he left office in 2017.

Obama recently talked with LeBron James on his HBO show ‘The Shop,’ where he talked about a variety of topics regarding the league, the challenges of making the bubble and what was next for LeBron.

Well, that hasn’t been the only appearance he’s had in the media talking about the NBA and its players. He was a guest on the famous ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast’ of The Ringer to discuss everything about basketball, making a big comparison between Stephen Curry and LeBron James.

Barack Obama compares NBA star to LeBron James

During his intervention, Obama compared Stephen Curry to LeBron James, explaining that they both were freaks given their talents and all the things they can do on the court every single night.

“These world-class athletes, they’re like X-Men. Some of them you can tell are like the Hulk. You’re standing next to LeBron, you know he’s a freak. Stand next to Steph, and he’s like one of those guys who has some superpower (where) he takes off his glasses or something. You can’t see right away, but is just as much of a freak.”

When asked if Steph was the greatest shooter of all time, Obama made it clear that nobody was, is, or will be better than Steph at shooting. The Warriors superstar has mastered the art of shooting and is hands down the best at it.

“That’s not even a question, absolutely. I have not seen anybody who can shoot that way, in as many ways, in as unlikely ways, as consistently as Steph Curry. I know Steph well. Everything he does, it’s precise and neat and tight.”

Steph wasn’t expected to become the great player he’s turned out to be right now but the guard has exceeded the expectations, becoming the greatest shooter of all time and he’s ready to increase his legend in the league during the 2020/21 NBA season. Obama has big praise for Curry, we don’t know how higher he can get.
