Real Madrid have 38 weeks ahead of them to win another La Liga title, they hold the record as the team with the most titles in the domestic league. You can watch Real Madrid playing at La Liga on ESPN+ in the US.

The team opened this 2021-22 season with a victory against Alaves on the road 4-1, then the team won five consecutive games, including two draws. The winning streak ended with a loss against RCD Espanyol 1-2 in Matchweek 8. After that loss they had to play against Athletic Club but the game was suspended for reasons related to international games that some players had in South America.

Ancelotti was also Real Madrid coach from 2013-2015, but during that period he was unable to win La Liga with Real Madrid.
