The race for the Ligue 1 title is coming down to the wire as two teams have a realistic chance of winning the title. Considering the fact that this season is unlike many others, some teams have had dips in form and others have catapulted to be in the top spots in the French top flight.

As things stand, Lille sit atop of the standings but Paris Saint-Germain have also set their eyes on the final prize. Monaco and Lyon also have a numerical and theoretical chance to win the league. This has made it extremely difficult for the oddsmakers to pinpoint which team will take the title.

The current situation in Ligue 1 is a bettor’s dream, with two teams fighting for a spot in the final, but there are also two other clubs who should never be ruled out of the race. As we examine the Ligue 1 future sports betting options, choosing who could win the title might come down to schedule and a little luck.

According to DraftKings, the odds-on favorite to win the title is PSG at -165, since they have already claimed seven French titles in the past decade. Nonetheless never wager against a team that have impressed incredibly this season, like Lille, who are at +160, while Monaco are at +1000. In addition, it's not excluded that Lyon surprise everyone, as they are at +3500 to lift the Ligue 1 trophy.

With four rounds to go, PSG are currently sitting in the second position on the Ligue 1 table with 72 points, one point below current leaders Lille. The Paris outfit has lost eight times this season, to Lille, Nantes, Lorient, Lyon, Lens, and Marseille, in addition to the two losses to Marseille.

They have been flying magnificently under the wings of Neymar and Mbappe who have racked up a total of 31 combined league games so far. That is why they are still considered to be the favorites to win the German title for the fourth successive season. The last time they were stopped was in the 2016-17 season, when Mbappe led Monaco to the title.

Thanks to the 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in Round 31, they now have the edge over the Qatari-owned powerhouse with a point on top of the table. Only Nimes, Angers, and Brest managed to stop them from getting all three points this season. The Dogues showed great potential in the Europa League, but ever since they were eliminated from the competition in the last 32,  they have migrated all of their focus on becoming the second French squad to have stopped PSG from winning a title.

Monaco to win Ligue 1 title future's bet

The 2016-17 champions have not been the same since Kylian Mbappe's exit. They have failed to repeat that success so far, but mathematically, they could still end up winning the crown in the end. The Monte Carlo squad have been unbeatable in the league since March 3 when they were shocked 1-0 by Strasbourg. In addition to that loss, they have also suffered defeats by Lille, Marseille, Lens, Rennes, Brest, and Lyon.

Lyon to win Ligue 1 title future's bet

Lyon's latest 3-2 defeat against their direct title rivals, Lille, decreased their chances to challenge for the Ligue title in the 2021-22 season. However, the Kids are known for endurance and perseverance until the very end. It is no secret that Rudi Garcia's men were once what PSG is now. They managed to claim seven successive Ligue 1 titles from 2001 to 2008. In addition to Lille, also PSG and Monaco have celebrated a victory over them this season. If you add the losses to Montpellier (twice), and Metz, it's understandable why Lyon are placed fourth. In spite of that, they still have a realistic chance to prevail in the end.
