The NFL announced via press release on Thursday April 15th that it has begun a partnership with three major online sportsbooks in the United States: Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, and FanDuel. The landmark deal will run for multiple years and renews Caesars Entertainment as Official Casino Sponsor of the NFL and DraftKings as Official Daily Fantasy Partner of the NFL.

All three sportsbooks will now become Official Sports Betting Partners of the NFL where they can offer NFL themed free-to play promotions and have exclusivity to leverage NFL marks within the sports betting category. The deal will also let Caesars, DraftKings and FanDuel have the right to promote their brands online at NFL.com and within the NFL App. Other extras include being able to use the NFL’s data feed and allowing the NFL to place their content within the Caesars platforms for example.

It is no secret that there is a heavy sports betting industry in the United States and online betting is slowly being allowed in many states and becoming regulated. The NFL has been at the forefront of building partnerships of this kind and will only legitimize the online betting industry.

The NFL and Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, & FanDuel partnership will run for various years, along with the perks of allowing the online platforms access to NFL properties, they will also adhere to the NFL’s commitment to protect the game and its fans through responsible gaming education, intelligence sharing, and various legal collaborations.

"As the sports betting landscape has continued to evolve in the United States, we have been thoughtful with our strategy and are excited to announce three partners who share the NFL's vision and goals," said Renie Anderson, Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President of NFL Partnerships. "Working closely with Caesars, DraftKings and FanDuel, we will provide fans new and different ways of interacting and engaging with the sport they love."

As the league's Official Sports Betting Partner Caesars can use the NFL’s marketing in any of their 40 casino properties among other perks, for DraftKings the partnership allows the sportsbook to collaborate with the NFL on product offerings and content. FanDuel, the NFL's newest partner, will have access to in-game and post-game highlights that will be available on their sportsbook.
