NCAAB News: Analyst makes a bold statement about MiLaysia Fulwiley’s transfer to LSU

To say that this has been a rough couple of weeks for Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks wouldn’t even come close to what has happened to the program.

Not only did they lose in a humiliating fashion in the title game against Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies, but they also lost one of their best players and key contributors off the bench.

MiLaysia Fulwiley’s decision to enter the transfer portal was a huge blow. Now, after two years with Coach Staley, she’s transferred to LSU. That’s why Tigers beat writer Tyler Harden believes that Kim Mulkey was one of the biggest winners of the transfer portal.

Fulwiley averaged 11.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game as a freshman to help her program win the national championship with an undefeated season.

She posted virtually the same numbers in her second year, averaging 11.8 points. 2.8 boards, and 1.9 assists. Now, she’ll look to win another title and a bigger role in the Big Easy.
