Experience is something he has in abundance. Wisdom and pedagogy as well. And that’s what he plans to bring to this new adventure in the NCAAF, this time at the helm of the North Carolina Tar Heels. Bill Belichick is one of the most successful coaches in the history of this sport, and he knows exactly what his goals are when leading a team.

After completing his second spring practice, the experienced coach spoke with the media and revealed how fortunate he feels to have coached different positions throughout his many years of career.

ā€œYou see something that you want to address and talk to a player about, you can go in there and talk to them,ā€ Belichick said. ā€œI’ve been very fortunate. I’ve had the opportunity to coach every position on the field on offense, on defense, on special teams. If I can help a player, I’m here to help them. That’s my job. I want to help them get better.ā€

Additionally, and perhaps in a more relaxed tone and jokingly, the former HC of the New England Patriots talked about the possibility of yelling at his players during practices and games.

ā€œThat’s the great thing about being a head coach, I can coach anybody I want,ā€ Belichick said. ā€œI can coach the lines, I can yell at the tight ends, yell at the DBs, yell at the kickers. I can go to any group I want and coach them and honestly, that’s the fun part.ā€

Although there has been no official announcement regarding this situation yet, if his arrival at UNC is confirmed, it would be a great boost for the Tar Heels, who would gain a promising prospect for the future of the program.
