The South Carolina Gamecocks had a diamond in the rough last season, and he has declared himself eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft. Nick Emmanwori has been one of the best safeties of the season and is set to be one of the top prospects. His dream of making it to the NFL comes with a tough warning for one particular quarterback, who is neither Patrick Mahomes nor Josh Allen.

In recent statements to the press, Emmanwori was asked about which players he admires in the league and if he has ever dreamed of being their teammate or, on the contrary, being on the opposite side as their rival.

Disregarding both the Chiefs’ and Bills’ quarterbacks, the talented defensive player revealed who he admires at that position, but made it clear that his arrival in the NFL will come with a few interceptions against him.

“Lamarvelous. A lot of dudes say guys like Pat Mahomes and other quarterbacks, but Lamar is kind of like the best quarterback to me. I have never seen a dude play quarterback and be that athletic and that efficient. I think he’s the best quarterback in the NFL right now. (If I pick him off) I think I’d beat him to the endzone.
