Aaron Judge was in the dugout for the New York Yankees’ recent 10-2 blowout win over the Athletics—a dominant offensive performance highlighted by Jasson Dominguez, who stole the show with three home runs that helped power the team to the lopsided victory.

“That was incredible,” Judge said when asked about Dominguez. “Just even going back to spring training—you know, the guy goes out there, wins a job. The work I saw him put in on the back fields when no one was really looking—on the defensive side, in the cage—and then to see him have a game like this tonight, three homers, it’s just special, you know.”

Judge continued in his comments to YES Network, saying the entire Yankees dugout was fired up watching Dominguez not only hit three home runs but also finish the night with three total hits and a .250 average over four at-bats.

Dominguez Reflects on Career Night

Dominguez shared how the moment felt to him. “Tonight was special. I mean, I get a home run from the right side—my first grand slam, my fifth homer. Tonight’s game was a really special night that I’ll remember, said the outfielder, who also recorded his first right-handed homer during the game against Oakland.

The win in California gave Dominguez a jolt of confidence. “I mean, anytime you have a game like that, for sure it’s a boost of confidence,” he said. But even in the moment, he admitted he could hardly believe what was happening: “When I hit that third one, I was running, I was just telling myself, ‘No way. There’s no way.’ But I mean, I had a really good game.”
