The San Francisco Giants were founded in 1883, but in New York and they were known as the New York Gothams. Three seasons later they renamed themselves the New York Giants and would move to the Bay Area in 1958. The Giants are one of the most successful MLB teams of all time and have more wins than any team in the history of American sports with over 11,000 wins.

Winners of 23 National League pennants and 8 World Series, the Giants are more than just a Baseball team, they are a symbol of excellence in the game. Players of the caliber of Barry Bonds, Willie Mays, Vida Blue, Orlando Cepeda, and Willie McCovey have all worn the Giants uniform. Despite a 56- year drought, the team won their last World Series in 2014.

Teams are molded from the city in which they play and just like the New York Mets and Detroit Tigers, San Francisco is a very important element to the Giants and the MLB soccer jerseys take inspiration from the Golden Gate Bridge, a key San Francisco landmark. Taking the classic Giants colors and spicing them up with elements of the Golden Gate Bridge these jerseys are sure to be the talk of the town in San Fran!

GIANTS HOME JERSEY INSPIRED BY THE TEAMS TRADITION

When the Giants moved to San Francisco the bay area knew they were getting a winner, as the New York Giants they had already won 5 world series. The Giants along with the Los Angeles Dodgers became the first MLB teams to play on the west coast. The Giants played many years at Candlestick Park before opening their new stadium Pacific Bell Park in 2000.

This home jersey concept takes the classic white Giants look and adds stripe elements that represent the aesthetic design of the cables of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are eight stripes that represent the club's eight world championships that start on the sleeve and work their way down. On the back, the classic Giants logo is spread on the neck and the numbers have the cap logo at the bottom, something very common in the world of soccer like in the English Premier League and Major League Soccer to have the league logo present on the numbers.

If you observe the sleeves of the home jersey there is a reference to the structure of the Golden Gate Bridge. Declared one of the Wonders of The Modern World the bridge was built in 1937 and is one-mile-wide and it connects San Francisco to Marin County. The bridge is a 19-minute drive from the ballpark so you can easily catch a game and go visit the bridge!

On the back, the classic Giants logo is printed on the neck. The club's Cap logo and team logo are vintage MLB trademarks and you know who you are playing and the history the Giants carry when you see them. Did you know that the Giants fight song is “Bye-bye Baby!”? Following every home win the song “I left my heart in San Francisco” is played much like “New York, New York” is played after every Yankee win.

GIANTS AWAY JERSEY INSPIRED BY THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

The away jersey pays homage to the characteristic bolts of the Golden Gate Bridge’s structure via a pattern that runs throughout the entire jersey. On the front of the jersey, there is a clear image of the bridge that stands out for its orange color.  On the sides of the jersey, the words “Orange and Black” are present, which is one of the team's nicknames. The word “Giants” is formed by the darker points that run along the chest of the jersey.

On the back, the team's nickname the “G Men” is stamped on the neck while there are eight stars that represent the eight World Series the club obtained. The G is made bigger to re-enforce the word Giants because, well, Giants are big. You have to think big with the Giants considering they have the second most Hall of Famers in the history of Baseball.

At the bottom of the jersey, the dark points make up the year the club was founded in 1883. In their long history, the Giants have retired 11 numbers, among them MLB greats like Willie Mays, John McGraw, Monte Irvin, and most recently Barry Bonds in 2018. While it’s highly debated for many reasons at the moment Bonds holds the record for most home runs (762)  in MLB history and most home runs in one season (73).

So what do you think of these amazing San Francisco Giants jerseys? Think these could set a new style in the bay area? With these concepts, the Giants are on their way to a ninth World Series!
