The Bronx Bombers have seen better days, and in 2021 if there is one word that can describe the Yankees it is mediocre.

The New York Yankees are a far cry from the team that won 103 games in 2019, at the moment, The Yanks are 32-29 and last night won their fourth game in the last 14 they have played. The team snapped a four-game losing streak against the last place Minnesota Twins.

The Bronx Bombers sit in third, 6.5 games back of the Tampa Bay Rays, and if you look across the roster few if any are hitting .300 or have stats to write home about. The team needs help for the second part of the season and help could be on the way.

With a roster built to hit the ball out of the park, don’t think the Yankees are going to turn into a tactical team and run the bases. Nonetheless the team needs help and here are three names that could save the pinstripes season.

Second baseman Adam Frazier has been on the Yankee’s radar for a few days now. Frazier is a consistent offensive threat, a big plus if you even want to dream about becoming a Yankee, but he also has been improving defensively, something the team desperately needs.

Cuban outfielder Adolis Garcia is another player that can help in both aspects. It is said the Yankees have been monitoring Adolis Garcia and could be a trade deadline deal to bring him to the Bronx. The well-traveled Garcia has been with the Texas Rangers since 2020.

Pitching has been another area the Yankees need to get better at, although Kevin Gausman’s name has come up here and there, he has an over 4.00 run ERA, a losing professional record, but showed a lot of potential in the month of May. Winning 5 games and having a 0.73 ERA.
