It goes without saying that LeBron James is one of the greatest athletes in the history of sports. Even at his age, the Los Angeles Lakers trusted him so much that they traded away most of their young stars to pair him with Anthony Davis and dominate the NBA right away.

Needless to say, it has definitely paid off thus far. Davis has given them a much-needed interior presence and a second gunman. He’s taken a lot of pressure off LeBron’s shoulders by sharing the offensive load through most of the year.

And, now that the King had four months to fully heal and go back to full strength, the soon-to-be 36 forward is once again turning heads because of his shape on his 17th season. He’s leaving it all on both ends of the floor.

James was all over the court during his team’s win in Game 2 vs. the Houston Rockets. He racked up 36 points while also getting 4 blocks and no one, not even his friend and teammate Anthony Davis could understand how such a veteran could still be in that shape.

Anthony Davis Amazed By LeBron James’Physicality At 35 Years Old

“He’s drinking from the fountain of youth. The things he’s able to do on the floor still, his head still touching the rim, still taking the big shots, still playing physical,” the All-Star power forward toldBen Golliver of The Washington Post.

It’s been clear that LeBron James has been on a mission since the start of the season. He feels that his legacy is on the line and that people are starting to sleep on him and take him for granted after almost two decades of top-tier performances.
