UFC fighter Colby Covington has been on the headlines for the wrong reasons over the past couple of days after an infamous rant vs. Lakers' star LeBron James and the 'woke athletes' after his triumph over Tyron Woodley.

Covington attended the pre-fight conference wearing a MAGA hat and then wore the American flag to celebrate his victory, and has been quite an outspoken supporter of the GOP and President Donald Trump.

He beat Tyron Woodley on a technical knockout and made the most of the opportunity to dedicate his triumph to the U.S Army before taking an uncalled shot at the 17-year old NBA veteran.

Colby Covington Says LeBron James Is A Spineless Coward

“Ladies and gentlemen, the silent majority is ready to make some noise. If you thought that was a beating, wait till November 3 when Donald Trump gets his hands on sleepy Joe. That’s gonna be a landslide,” Covington said. “I want to dedicate this fight to all the first responders, all the military out there. This world would not be safe without you guys, you keep us safe, and not these woke athletes. I’m sick of these spineless cowards like LeBron James,” the fighter concluded.

Covington Doubles Down On Twitter: Says LeBron Couldn't Last 10 Seconds With Him

Needless to say, Covington's comment didn't go unnoticed around the sports community, with NBA players like Kevin Durant, Michael Carter-Williams, among others, calling him out. That's why he doubled-down on his take and took it to Twitter to take another massive shot at LeBron James.

"LOL at the snowflakes that believe @KingJames could even last 10 seconds with me! If that coward had the balls or the ability to kick anyone’s ass, Delonte West would’ve lost his teeth long before his meth habit!" Colby tweeted.

LeBron James Fires Back At Colby Covington

Shockingly, The King didn't take the high road when asked about Covington's insults, and the 35-year-old fired right back at him with an answer for the ages, claiming he may be all talk and no action:

“Anybody can talk from outside but if they got into the ring or got into the arena, probably 10 times out of 10, they’d s—- their pants,” The Lakers' forward said ahead of Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Truth be told, even if UFC fighters are likely to demolish almost every single other human being on a ring, maybe LeBron James, a 6'9''- 250 lb specimen isn't the guy you'd want to pick up a fight with.
