The Los Angeles Lakers continued their strong momentum with a solid win over the Houston Rockets. Luka Doncic delivered a spectacular performance. He scored 39 points, dished out 7 assists, and grabbed 8 rebounds. The victory secured the Lakers the third spot in the Western Conference. However, not everything went their way. LeBron James had to leave the court due to a groin injury. After the game, JJ Redick gave a 4-word update on his health condition.
“Yeah, yeah. He’s fine,” stated JJ Redick during the press conference. LeBron even walked off the court afterward. That alone is great news for the Lakers. They need him healthy to keep their title hopes alive. Redick’s system depends on LeBron’s leadership and impact. When he is on the floor, the team plays with more confidence and direction.
In just 22 minutes, LeBron recorded 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists. That stat line proves how much he can contribute in a short amount of time. He continues to show that he can influence every part of the game. Moreover, in the four games before this one, he scored more than 26 points in three of them. That stretch confirms his ability to remain a scoring threat.
However, LeBron lost a historic NBA streak. After the last game against the Rockets, he ended the regular season with an average of 24.4 points. That result breaks his 20-year streak of averaging at least 25 points per season. Still, it does not mean he had a bad year. He simply missed several games because of injuries. As a result, he could not raise his scoring average.

LeBron James ties legendary NBA record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Tim Duncan
LeBron James, now in his remarkable 22nd NBA season, continues to cement his place among the greatest players the league has ever seen. The Los Angeles Lakers veteran has officially made his 18th career playoff appearance, tying NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Tim Duncan for the second-most postseason trips in league history.

With this achievement, he now stands just shy of another historic benchmark. John Stockton and Karl Malone currently hold the all-time record with 19 playoff appearances each. With one more trip to the postseason, LeBron can match them. If he continues playing next season on NBA, he will have the chance to tie that historic mark.
