Not so long ago, no one had a clue as to who the hell was Giannis Antetokounmpo. Analysts mocked the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Draft for reaching and claimed that he was multiple years away from being a borderline role player.

Fast-forward to today and not only Giannis has become one of the league's marksmen but he also has the chance to win his very first NBA Championship faster than most of the greatest players in NBA history.

Giannis has won nearly everything you could win on an individual level in the NBA and is now on the verge of getting a ring as well. That's a Hall of Fame kind of résumé before turning 30 years old.

Nick Wright: Giannis Will Take Down LeBron As The NBA's Best Player

That's why even bonafide LeBron James stan Nick Wright went as far as to say that, should he beat the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals, he can finally take the crown from The King's head and claim his spot as the best player in the Association:

"I think officially, potentially, if they finish it off, (he can) take the crown from LeBron. If the Bucks can win the NBA Finals, Giannis can take the crown from LeBron," Wright said on his show.  "LeBron has been the best player in the league since May 31, 2007 (the 48-special vs. Detroit) until right now. That’s a 14-year reign at the top of the league. Giannis is making a case that he’s about to end LeBron’s run," he added on Twitter.

This is unheard of, given the fact that Wright hasn't exactly been the most objective analyst in the league, let alone when it comes to talking about LeBron James. But boy, was he on point this time.

While James hasn't won an MVP winner in a while and other players have been better than him on a yearly basis, he's still the guy to take down in the NBA. So maybe, just maybe, we already know who's sitting on the throne for the next decade or so.
