Emotional LeBron James reacts to winning Finals MVP

Well, he did it. Once again, LeBron James proved that he’s one of the greatest players of all time and silenced his critics by pulling off what they said he couldn’t pull off: leading the Los Angeles Lakers to an NBA Championship.

The purple-and-gold finished the season on a high note fueled by LeBron James 28 points, 14 rebounds, 10assists, 1steal, and1 three-pointerto lead them to a106-93triumph over Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.

It took him one groin injury, one pandemic, one bubble at Disney, and five games in the NBA Finals but LeBron James lived up to his word and now the Lakers are tied with the Boston Celtics as the team with most rings in the history of the NBA.

LeBron James Fulfilled His Promise To Lakers Nation

“Believe Me. #LakerNation the spell won’t last much longer! I swear. The marathon continues,” James commented on an Instagram post when the Lakers were knocked off from playoff contention in 2019.

Not only did the King live by his word to lead the Lakers back to the postseason for the first time in 7 years but he also took them back to the ultimate stage for the first time in a decade, and capped it off by getting the Finals MVP honors.

“One thing I can do is committ to the game. I put myself, my body, and my mindin position to be available to my teammates,” LeBron said. “We just want our respect. Rob wants his respect. Coach Vogel wants his respect. Organization wants their respect. Lakers Nation wants their respect. And I want my damn respect too,he concluded.

King James has now led three different franchises to an NBA Championship. He did it on both conferences, with three different rosters, and winning four Finals MVP awards in the meantime.

The fact that James could put together this kind of run in year 17 and at almost 36 years old is yet another testament to his greatness. You may not like him and that’s ok but you can’t deny that he’s one of the greatest players to ever do it.
