NFL News: Aaron Rodgers has reportedly made a huge decision about future with Steelers after Vikings rejected him

Aaron Rodgers' future is finally taking shape. After being released by the Jets and turned away by the Vikings, the four-time MVP has reportedly narrowed his choices down to the Steelers and Giants. With time running out and teams making moves, Rodgers' decision could shape the landscape of the 2025 NFL season.

Aaron Rodgers keeps the Pittsburgh Steelers as a possibility to continue his career after reports indicate that the Minnesota Vikings are out of the race for the quarterback. However, according to information from Gerry Dulac, Mike Tomlin’s team is very much in play.

“Steelers have not been told they are out of the running for Aaron Rodgers and continue to wait on the four-time league MVP with no specific time set for a decision, per sources.”

After the situation with Minnesota, the only options left for Rodgers are the Steelers and the Giants. Based on the roster construction, Pittsburgh currently gives him the best chance to win a Super Bowl before retiring.

Is Aaron Rodgers a free agent?

Yes. Aaron Rodgers is a free agent after being released by the Jets, but the star quarterback is running out of options in the market. Additionally, according to Dulac’s information, the Steelers are not willing to offer him a multi-year contract.

Pittsburgh would only be ready for a one-year contract, and if Rodgers does not accept, general manager Omar Khan and head coach Mike Tomlin have an alternative plan with Mason Rudolph, a free agent, or through the draft.
