The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a key decision regarding the future of Baker Mayfield. This Thursday, the team officially announced a contract extension for head coach Todd Bowles and also for general manager Jason Licht.

This was the message by owner Joe Glazer. “Jason and Todd’s leadership has been critical to our organization’s success. The winning culture they have established has us well positioned for the future. The continuity and stability they provide will play a large role in our ability to compete for additional championships.”

Licht was a key figure in helping the Bucs win the Super Bowl during the season with a spectacular roster led by Tom Brady, who defeated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

How long is Todd Bowles’ contract with Bucs?

The new contract for Todd Bowles is expected to run through the 2028 season, according to multiple reports. The head coach has brought stability to the franchise following the departure of Bruce Arians, winning the NFC South for three consecutive years.

Additionally, thanks to Bowles, Baker Mayfield has revamped his career in the NFL, and the franchise is once again a contender in the NFC against rivals like the Philadelphia Eagles, the Detroit Lions, and the Washington Commanders. Bowles couldn’t hide his excitement for this opportunity.

“I’m excited to continue working with Jason for years to come as we build on the success we’ve enjoyed and keep reaching for even bigger and better goals. My family loves Tampa and we’re looking forward to delivering more great moments for our fans in the coming seasons.”
