The Seattle Seahawks will have a new wide receiver in the 2025 NFL season. Cooper Kupp has decided to stay in the NFC West but has now thrown slight shade at the Los Angeles Rams after his surprising exit from the club.

After the end of the 2024 season, rumors suggested that the Rams were going to undergo a major rebuild. While they managed to retain Matthew Stafford, one of his key teammates left this offseason.

The Rams couldn’t find a suitable trading partner for Cooper Kupp, which is why they released him. He quickly found a landing spot with the Seahawks, yet he is still surprised by his departure from Los Angeles.

The Rams quickly found his replacement by signing Davante Adams, another talented veteran wideout. However, Kupp was definitely not expecting all these changes and has thrown slight shade at his former club regarding his unexpected release.

“It’s been difficult,” Kupp told reporters. “In all honesty, it’s been very difficult and frustrating and there’s been lots of questions. It’s a real tough situation. I’ve said, I’ve always imagined that I’d finish my career there, but that’s not what the plan was that God had for me and my family.”
