With the NFL season about to start, teams are finalizing their rosters and preparing as best as possible for Week 1. The Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning league champions, have added a backup quarterback for Patrick Mahomes. This player was once considered a potential successor to Tom Brady with the New England Patriots.

Coached by Andy Reid, the Chiefs are eagerly anticipating the start of the season and aiming to achieve the historic feat of winning the Super Bowl three years in a row. To this end, the team is continuing its preparation to ensure they are in top form for their debut.

The top contenders in the AFC West have had a preseason marked by underwhelming performances, which was also reflected in the final outcomes of their games. The serious injury to Hollywood Brown has forced Mahomes to explore alternative offensive strategies during the games.

The three preseason games ended in defeat for the champions: the opener saw the Jacksonville Jaguars win 26-13. In their second game, the Detroit Lions edged them 24-23. Finally, the Chiefs concluded their preseason with another loss, this time to the Chicago Bears, who won 34-21.
