We’re almost halfway through the 2020 NFL season and so far, it seems like Bill Belichick needed Tom Brady more than Tom Brady needed Bill Belichick. As of today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hold a 5-2 record, while the New England Patriots are 2-4.

More than that, the Tom Brady we’ve seen over the past couple of weeks has been far more similar to what we’ve seen from him throughout his entire career, as opposed to the shaky, dubious, and mistake-prone quarterback he was during the first couple of games or so.

And, now that Tom Terrific is back at his best and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a legit Super Bowl contender, fellow Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning seems to know the secret behind hir recent success.

Peyton Manning Clowns Tom Brady For Breaking Into Someone Else’s House

Manning took to the film boothto analyze in full detail Brady’s plays from last week, lauding the Buccaneers for finally running the plays Brady’s used to executing, and wondering why they hadn’t done that earlier in the season:

“Why the Bucs weren’t running his plays earlier in the season? My guess is that when Tom broke into that guy’s house illegally, the settlement was that Tom would let that guy call the plays,”Manning joked.

Peyton is referring to the incident from the offseason when Tom Brady accidentally broke into someone else’s house during his first couple of days at Tampa Bay, an incident that never reached the court, obviously.

All jokes aside, we can’t ignore the fact that Brady and the Bucs didn’t get to play in preseason games, so it was natural to think that he’ll only get more comfortable in Bruce Arians’ offense as the season went by.

Thus far, the six-time Super Bowl champion has completed 176 of 268 passes for 1,910 yards with 17 touchdowns and 4 picks, and is once again one of the leading candidates to win the MVP award.
