Juventus beat defending champions Chelsea 1-0 for Matchday 2 of the Champions League 2021/22 group stage. The Italians went ahead 46 minutes into the match thanks to a goal by Federico Chiesa. With this win, Juventus lead Group H with six points.

The home side was the better team from the start, controlling Chelsea and having the best chances in the first half. However, the goal came at the start of the second half when Chiesa came to the pitch from the bench and scored after only 9 seconds.

Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea’s best attacker, couldn’t find the opportunities to do harm. The Bianconneri were totally stoic, defending the efforts of their visitors, who have lost their last two games, including their defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League.
