You know what they say: A good son will always come back home. That’s once again in evidence now that Manchester United announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will be back in the English Premier League after more than a decade and a couple of years at Juventus.
Cristiano played at Old Trafford from 2003 to 2009 before completing his record-breaking move to Real Madrid. He scored 84 games in 196 caps for the Red Devils before breaking out as one of the greatest scorers of all time.
But even so, he always cherished his time in England. He was tied with a move back to Manchester United for years, so it wasn’t surprising to see him snub Manchester City’s interest to go back to the club he loves so much.

Even if you’re not a Cristiano fan, you have to feel good for him. He wanted to play for Manchester United at least once before retiring and he was clearly not happy since moving to Juventus.
The Real Madrid legend couldn’t lead La Vecchia Signora to the ultimate glory and replicate his usual success in the UEFA Champions League. Now, he’ll get the opportunity to help United rise back to the top after years of struggles in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.
This is definitely the end of an era. Lionel Messi will soon make his debut for Paris Saint-Germain and Cristiano Ronaldo has gone full circle and back to the English Premier League. I guess we’re living in weird times. It’s either that or we’re getting old, folks!
