The 2021-2022 season is underway and the transfer market will have to wait until January. Following a summer full of headline-making moves, Inter Milan are already looking forward to stealing the limelight by acquiring a promising Italy international.

Romelu Lukaku's departure may have been a huge blow for the reigning Serie A champions but they seem to be ready to turn the page. With Lautaro Martinez set to sign a new, lucrative deal, Inter would try to keep on boosting their attack.

Shortly after the transfer deadline day, they were linked with a Napoli star who runs out of contract next season and now they are understood to be chasing a Sassuolo product who has made an impression with the Italian national team.

Inter Milan reportedly set their sights on Sassuolo sensational forward

Inter may have failed to land some of their main targets for this season but they wouldn't give up on them for the future. Lorenzo Insigne remains on their radar and so does 21-year-old Giacomo Raspadori.

Sassuolo weren't interested in selling him as they wanted to have him at least for another season with more playing minutes. But, according to Calciomercato, they promised to sit down in the future to reopen negotiations.

The Italian outlet added that Inter Milan want to seize on that promise to try and seal an agreement before other teams join the queue for Raspadori. Sassuolo would demand at least €25 million, which is why the Nerazzurri may involve another young player in the deal to agree for a lower fee.

Raspadori has shone during Italy's 5-0 victory over Lithuania in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. Inter know that his stock will probably rise with those kinds of performances, which is why they want to secure him as soon as possible.
