Video: Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. scores his first brace for Portugal U15 and celebrates like CR7

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. found the back of the net for the first time with his national team, and his trademark celebration didn’t take long to follow. Playing for Portugal’s U15 squad, the young forward put his team ahead and, after scoring his debut brace, paid tribute to his father CR7 by replicating one of his iconic goal celebrations.

Taking his first steps as a player for his national team, Ronaldo Jr. is already starting to make a name for himself. While it may be difficult for him to achieve what his father accomplished on the global stage, many believe he has the potential to become one of the great future stars.

In the Vlatko Markovic final against Croatia, just minutes into the first half, the talented youngster broke through the opposing defense and, with a precise left-footed strike from a difficult angle, gave his team a 1–0 lead.

In the second half, following a pinpoint cross from a teammate, CR Jr. connected with a header that left the goalkeeper with no chance, securing not only his first goal for the national team but also his first-ever brace.

It’s worth highlighting that after Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.’s impressive performance, scoring twice and contributing to a strong collective effort, Portugal came out on top with a 3–2 victory over the Croatian side.

A CR7 trademark celebration

Since his rise in professional football some time ago, Cristiano Ronaldo has made a name for himself not only through his exceptional talent and incredible goal-scoring record, but also through his iconic celebrations, which have become a trademark of the Portuguese forward.

One of those celebrations — perhaps the most famous of all — is the one his son just imitated after scoring his first goal with the Portugal U15 team. With a jump, a mid-air spin, and his arms extended to both sides as he shouted “Siuuu,” CR7 immortalized a celebration that, to this day, is replicated by players around the world.

In the twilight of his career, the man who began his journey at Sporting Lisbon and went on to become one of the greatest players in history has left his mark not only through his excellence on the pitch, but also through his signature goal celebrations that became part of his identity.
