<p><strong>This player is cornerback <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/stephon-gilmore" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stephon Gilmore</a></strong>, who played for the Cowboys in 2023. Appearing on The Money Down podcast, Gilmore said, <em>“I want to play this year. <strong>It’s got to be the right situation</strong>. You know what I’m saying? <strong>I’m not just going to sign anywhere</strong>, so it’s got to be the right situation.”</em></p>



<p><strong>Gilmore visited the Cowboys pre-draft</strong> before the team selected Shavon Revel Jr. in the third round. The move watered down after that but if Gilmore visited them, <strong>it seems as that would be one of the good situations</strong> he’s talking about.</p>



<h2>Gilmore’s recent years have been good not great</h2>



<p><strong>Gilmore’s prime was something to remember</strong>. He is now 35 years old, but from 2016 to 2021, he was arguably the best corner in the league. In that span, <strong>he went to five Pro Bowls, was All-Pro twice and the Defensive Player of the Year in 2019.</strong> </p>

<p>When he played for Dallas, he started all 17 games, got two interceptions and 13 passes defended. Last year, he was on the Minnesota Vikings roster, where he started 15 games and got one interception. However, <strong>he allowed a 94.1 passer rate which is the worst mark in his career</strong>. While <strong>he has proven that he is still a starting-caliber corner</strong>, he is not the lock-down corner he was in the past.</p>

<h2>Do the Cowboys need Gilmore?</h2>



<p>Even if they drafted Revel, <strong>Gilmore could still be a valuable addition to the roster</strong>. Consider the fact that <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/trevon-diggs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Trevon Diggs</a> is also recovering from injury. They also brought Kaiir Elam to the roster but <strong>one could argue Gilmore is still a better option.</strong></p>

<h2>Aaron Jones made his situation clear in the game against the Cardinals</h2>



<p>The Vikings secured a crucial victory against the Arizona Cardinals, despite a subpar performance from RB Aaron Jones. The talented player suffered two fumbles and did not have his best outing of the season. Regarding this situation, the former Packers player was clear.</p>
